Hi, I’m Yvette.
After working 30 years in the corporate world and fitting in part time fitness coaching I am now a full time fitness coach! Woohoo!
It’s always been a huge dream of mine to coach fitness full time. I love it so much and when you feel this passionate about something you want to share it with everyone! I kept working towards my dream and last year I took the leap. Yes, it was scary as heck. I was leaving a secure career to start over, pretty much from scratch. I knew if I never tried that I would forever regret it. When that fear and doubt kicks in and I question myself, I think about the amazing feeling I get from helping others when teaching fitness. I knew this was my journey, my path! I am also beyond grateful to have the amazing support of my husband and sons who have always believed in me and were so happy when I said I’m going for it!
My certifications; I am intrigued, obsessed and fascinated with the mind/body connection, how our body functions and how to keep it as strong and healthy as possible. I first heard about Foundation Training on the Ben Greenfield podcast. He was interviewing Dr. Eric Goodman, a chiropractor who needed spinal fusion surgery but refused to do it. Working through his own back pain he created this amazing movement training called Foundation Training. Now thousands of people are walking around pain free and with better posture and balance because of him. I have been certified in Foundation Training for over 5 yrs now. I look forward to growing with FT and gaining higher certifications as they become available.
I wanted to have a deeper understanding of nutrition. I have always been a pretty healthy eater but I wanted to know more. I did my research, and came across an awesome program called Precision Nutrition. Their program helps people improve health, nutrition and lifestyle behaviors. I studied their program and became a certified Nutrition Coach.
My lifetime passion for fitness training brought me to study and certifications with ACE (American Council on Exercise)
I’m always expanding my health knowledge and recently attended the SomatIQ breathwork workshop which was beyond incredible. I am also training to be a coach to help others release emotions and power their mental focus through the benefits of cold plunge.
So here I am! Now I get to share all of my knowledge and experience with you!
With more than 10 years of coaching, I’ve had the opportunity to train many amazing clients in person . From group cardio kickboxing and strength training classes at a karate studio to coaching semi private strength training and Foundation Training classes at an all women’s gym. I’m currently coaching clients 1 on 1 along with semi private personal training sessions at a coed gym. I am also teaching group Foundation Training and cardio/strength classes.
In person coaching has been my best teacher as I have learned so much from all of my clients. It has helped me discover new ways to help them progress with their individual goals. I love coaching in person and will continue to do so, but, I want to expand and reach out to help as many people as possible. Online coaching here I am!
